The height of the pandemic in May 2020 was a time of fear, uncertainty and distance; and it was in these emotions that our journey began. ‘Doori’ is a Hindi word for distance, that embodied the world during these times. Through that our brand was born with the sole focus of creating masks that were both functional and comfortable. We dedicated ourselves to extensive experimentation, and after numerous attempts, we finally achieved our distinctive styles. The rest, as they say, is history.
Doori became an outlet for us to express and inspire ourselves - from the colours, prints and patterns on our masks to living vicariously through our pieces that have found a place in so many homes during lockdown. In that, our growth has been organic and exponential to say the least.
Our manufacturing facilities are of international acclamation with impeccable safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards. Our skilled craftsmen and women have decades of experience in working with and handling a multitude of fabrics. We are a tight-knit team that functions on the basis of trust, familiarity and comfort. We hold our products to the highest quality so our customers face no issues. Every piece of fabric that comes into our facility undergoes numerous rounds of testing against various parameters in our in-house laboratory before going into trials, let alone production.
Each fabric is meticulously checked and rated against various quality metrics throughout the production process, up until it leaves our facility in its final form, be it a shirt, a bag or a scrunchie. It was our promise to help and give back to those around us in our own small way that has been our constant source of motivation throughout, and continues to push and bring us to this very moment.
